Principal Service Solutions is hiring a Shipping clerk in Chaska, MN. This position involves the comprehensive execution of all domestic and international shipping duties for the company and requires a solid familiarity with international shipping and trade compliance verification and confirmation regulations. 

This is a long-term, full-time position with full benefits! Our benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and paid holidays.

Pay: $21/hr
Day shift- Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 4:30 PM, flexible schedule for required overtime before 8 AM. Saturdays 7 AM – 12 PM as needed

Responsibilities:
  • Significant completion of paperwork, including of parts match with parts lists, preparation of packing lists, commercial invoices, and Customs documents
  • Use computer databases to create documents, spreadsheets, and for file management
  • Updates and maintains SAP ERP/MRP system
  • Operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts
  • Works directly with domestic and international carriers to schedule pickups and arrange transportation
  • Employee will perform physical duties related to shipping, including wrapping, packing, and boxing parts
  • Orders and replenishes shipping supplies, etc.
  • Incumbent will possess good customer service skills for communication with internal and external contacts regarding shipment status and other related duties
  • Maintains neatness and organization of shipping area

Qualifications:
  • Physical ability to perform tasks related to packaging and moving materials to prepare for shipment
  • Experience using computer databases or MRP/ERP systems, preferably SAP
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential
  • Attention to detail is important to ensure quality of shipments and completion of appropriate shipping documentation
  • Applies general math skills including fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to speak distinctly and see and hear clearly
  • Adhere to safety procedures consistent with the use of hand and power tools
Physical Requirements:
  • Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds is required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing.
  • May require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous element or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc.
